2009 Award of Excellence

'Thoughout the past five years, the Brooks Public Library Board has dealt with the many demands of a thriving multicultural community. The constant influx of new Canadians and those who speak English their second language have been supported by the public library with expanded hours, services and programs to meet their specific needs. They have also developed and increased the hours for early literacy programs, Seniors' Outreach programs, and have significantly upgraded the library's technology. The Brooks Public Library Board was nominated by the Staff at the Brooks Public Library as recognition of all the services that they perform for the Library and the community.'
